Age
Limit: The candidates should not be less than 18
years of age and not more than 40 years of age as on 01/01/2024.
Educational Qualification: A candidate must have Higher Secondary
or Class XII passed from any Government recognized Board/Council.
Other Criteria of APSC Recruitment
Citizenship: Candidates
must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of
India.
- (i) The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- (ii) The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose/ Employment Exchange Registration certificate as proof of residency along with the application form.
Age
Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as
mentioned below.
- SC: 5 years
- ST: 5 years
- OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years

Employment
Exchange Registration: Candidates must be registered themselves in any
of the employment exchanges of Assam.
Small Family Norms: The candidates have to submit a
declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A at the time of
applying for the post.
Computer
Proficiency:
a) Candidates must have good working knowledge of office productivity software
tools (independent of any operating system i.e. MS Windows, Linux, Mac etc.)
such as —
- i) Word Processor,
- ii) Spreadsheet,
- iii) Presentation Graphics,
- iv) Content of Database,
- v) Internet and
- vi) E-Mail.
b) Candidates must possess a minimum 6 (six) months completed diploma/ certificate in computer proficiency, from a Govt. of Assam recognized institution (no breaks in qualification admissible) and must have computing knowledge in Assamese and English Language.
