Online applications are invited from intending eligible candidates who are citizens of India as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitutions of India and ordinarily resident of Assam for filling up of the vacancies as indicated below under the Directorate of Social welfare, Assam, Uzanbazar, Guwahati-1.

1) Instructor: 5 Nos.

A. Instructor (Cutting): 1 No. (For female candidate only)

• The post will be filled at VTRC, Beltola, Guwahati.
• Education Qualification: Minimum HSSLC passed.
• Essential Qualification: Having diploma in Cutting & Tailoring from recognised
• institution is must for the post.

B. Instructor (craft): 1 No.

• The post will be filled up against existing vacancy at TCPC(PH) Person, Bamunigaon, Boko.
• Education Qualification: Minimum HSSLC passed.
• Essential Qualification: Having diploma in Carpentry from ITI is must for the post.

C. craft Instructor: 2 Nos. (For female candidate only)

• These posts will be filled up against existing vacancies at Destitute Home, Dighaltari,
• Dhubri and Home for Destitute & Vagrant Children, Lakhimpur.
• Education Qualification: Minimum HSSLC passed.
• Essential Qualification: Having diploma in Carpentry from ITt is must for the post.

D. Instructor (Cutting & Tailoring): 1 No. (For female candidate only)

• The post will be filled up against existing vacancy at VTRC. Morigaon.
• Education Qualification: Minimum HSSLC passed.
• Essential Qualification: Having diploma in Cutting & Tailoring from recognized
• institution is must for the post.

Reservation: UR-1, OBC/MOBC-2, ST(H)-1, EWS-1

Remuneration: Pay Band- 2, Rs:14000- 60500/- Grade pay of Rs. 6200/- p.m.

2) Instructor for Music: 1 No.

• The post will be filled up against existing vacancy at State Bal Bhawan, Guwahati.
• Education Qualification: Minimum HSSLC passed.
• Essential Qualification: Having Visharad (Vocal) Course from recognized Institution
• is must for the post.
• Reservation: UR-1 
• Remuneration: Pay Band- 2, Rs.14000- 60,500/- Grade pay of Rs. 7400/- p.m.

3) Manager: 3 Nos.

a. Manager, Cutting and Tailoring Section: 1 No. (For female candidate only)

• The post will be filled up against existing vacancy at TCPC, Jalukbari.
• Education Qualification: The candidate must possess Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or any examination declared equivalent by the Government.
• Essential Qualification: Having diploma in Cutting & Tailoring from recognized institution is must for the post.

 b. Manager, Fancy Bag making Section: 1 No. (For female candidate only)

• The post will be filled up against existing vacancy at TCPC, Jalukbari.
• Education Qualification: The candidate must possess Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University or any examination declared equivalent by the Government.
• Essential Qualification: Having diploma in Art & Craft from recognised institution Is must for the post.

c. Manager, Manager, Doll and Toy making section: 1 No. (For female candidate only)

• The post will be filled up against existing vacancy at TCPC, Jalukbari.
• Education Qualification: The candidate must xossess Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University or any examination declared equivalent by the Govemnment.
• Essential Qualification: Having diploma in Art & Craft from recognised institution is must for the post.

Remuneration: Pay Band- 2, Rs.14000- 60.500/- Grade pay of Rs. 7400/- p.m.

4) Instructor, Govt. BDs Deaf and Dumb school: 2 Nos.

a. Instructor (Knitting & Embroidery): 1 No.

• The post will be filled up against existing vacancy at Govt. BDs Deaf 8 Dumb School, Kahilipara, Guwahati.
• Education Qualification: Minimum HSSLC passed.
• Essential Qualification: Having Diploma in Knitting & Embroidery from Govt. recognized Institution.
• Desirable: Candidate having Diploma in Hearing Language and Speech (DHLS) or Diploma in Special Education (H.l.) from recognized Institution under RCI.

b. Instructor (weaving): I No.

• The post will be filled up against existing vacancy at Govt. BDs Deaf 8 Dumb School, Kahilipara, Guwahati.
• Education Qualification: Minimum HSSLC passed.
• Essential Qualification: Having diploma in Weaving from Govt. recognised institution..
• Desirable: Candidate having Diploma in Hearing Language and Speech (DHLS) or Diploma in Special Education (Hi.) from recognized Institution under RCI.

5) Matron cum storekeeper: 3 Nos.

a. Matron cum Storekeeper for Home Destitute & Vagrant Children, Lakhimpur and Jorhat Blind Institute: 2 No.

• These posts will be filled up against existing vacancies at Home Destitute & Vagrant Children, Lakhimpur and Jorhat Blind Institute.
• Education Qualification: Minimum HSLC/AHM passed.

b. Matron cum Storekeeper for State Home, Jalukbari: 1 No. (For female aandidate only)

• The post will be filled up against existing vacancy at State Home, Jalukban.
• Education Qualification: Minimum HSLC/AHM passed.

6) Matriculate Teacher of vagrant and Observation Home (Children Home), Fatasil Ambari: 1 No.

• The post will be filled up against existing vacancy at Vagrant and Observation Home (Children Home), Fatasil Ambari.
• Education Qualification: Minimum HSLC/AHM passed.

7) Graduate Teacher: 5 Nos.

a. Graduate Teacher (Arts) for Jorhat Blind Institute: 2 Nos.

• The post will be filled up against existing vacancy at Jorhat Blind Institute, Jorhat.
• Education Qualification: Graduate in Arts, preferably with English as Major Subject. 
• Essential Qualification: B.Ed. Special Education (V.1.) or B. Ed. (General) with minimum 1 year Diploma in Special Education (V.1.) or any other equivalent qualification for Visual Impairment approved by RCI.

b. Graduate Teacher (Science) for Jorhat Blind Institute: 1 No.

• The post will be filled up against existing vacancy at Jorhat Blind Institute, Jorhat. 
• Education Qualification: Graduate in Science, preferably with Mathematics as Major Subject.
• Essential Qualification: B.Ed. Special Education (v.1.) or B. Ed. (General) with minimum 1 year Diploma in Special Education (V.1.) or any other equivalent qualification for Visual Impairment approved by RCI.

c. Graduate Teacher (Arts) for School for Hearing Impaired, Jorhat: 1 No.

• The post will be filled up against existing vacancy at School for Hearing Impaired, Jorhat.
• Education Qualification: Graduate in Arts, preferably with English as Major Subject.
• Essential Qualification: B.Ed. Special Education (H.I.) or B. Ed. (General) with minimum 1 year Diploma in Special Education (H.I.) or any other equivalent qualification for Hearing Impairment approved by RCI.

d. Graduate Teacher (Science) for School for Hearing Impaired, Jorhat: 1 No.

• The post will be filled up against existing vacancy at Jorhat Blind Institute, Jorhat.
• Education Qualification: Graduate In Science, preferably with Mathematics as Major Subject.
• Essential Qualification: B.Ed. Special Education (H.I.) or B. Ed. (General) with minimum 1 year Diploma in Special Education (Hi.) or any other equivalent qualification for Hearing Impairment approved by RCI.

8) Under Graduate Teacher:1 No.

• The post will be filled up against existing vacancy at Jorhat Blind Institute.
• Education Qualification: Minimum HSSLC passed.
• Essential Qualification: Diploma in Special Education (V.1.) or Secondary Level Teacher Training Course in (V.1.) or any other equivalent qualification for Visual Impairment approved by RCI.

9) Matriculate Teacher of Jorhat Blind Institute: 1 No.

• The post will be filled up against existing vacancy at Jorhat Blind Institute, Jorhat.
• Education Qualification: Minimum HSLC/AHM passed.
• Essential Qualification: Diploma in Special Education (V.1.) or Primary Level Teacher Training Course in (V.1.) or any other equivalent qualification for Visual Impairment approved by RCI.

• Remuneration: Pay Band- 2, Rs.14000- 60.500/- Grade pay of Rs. 56001- p.m.

10) Knitting & Embroidery Teacher: 1 No.

• The post will be filled up against existing vacancy at Jorhat Blind Institute. Jorhat. Education Qualification: Minimum HSLC/AHM passed.
• Essential Qualification: Having diploma in Knitting & Embroidery from Govt. recognized institution.
• Desirable: - Having Diploma in Special Education (V.1) from recognized Institution under RCl.
• Reservation: UR-1
• The reservation for women & Persons with Disabilities as per existing Govt. rules.
• Remuneration: Pay Band- 2, Rs.14000- 60,500/- Grade pay of Rs. 6200/- p.m.

11) Nurse: 1 No. (For female candidate only)

• The post will be filled up against existing vacancy at Home for destitute Women &Helpless Person, Bamunigaon, Kamrup.
• Education Qualification: Minimum HSSLC passed.
• Essential Qualification: ANM course from any Govt. recognised institute.
• Reservation: UR-1
• Remuneration: Pay Band- 2, Rs.14000- 60,500!- Grade pay of Rs. 6200/- p.m.

Age Limit

• The age limit for the application of above mentioned posts, the age of the Applicants must be 18 years to 38 years on 01/012019
• The upper age limit is relaxabe by five (5) years for ST/SC candidates and is relaxable by three (3) years for OBCIMOBC candidates.
• The upper age limit for Persons with Disabilities is relaxable by 10 years.
• The upper age limit for Ex-Servicemen is relaxable by 2 years.

Verification of Original Documents:

The candidates must attend the verification process. The candidates will have to bring their original testimonials for verification along with a set of self-attested photocopies of testimonials. Original documents are to be produced at the time of Computer Proficiency Test.
