Agnipath recruitment 2022: The Defence Ministry of India has announced Agnipath scheme for the recruitment of 40,000+ Agniveers or youth soldiers. Initially, the training period under Agnipath recruitment is six months with service time of four-years as per agnipath scheme announced earlier. Interested candidates who fulfil all eligibility criteria, as listed below, will be able to apply once application submission begins through online mode. The central government will soon conduct recruitment rallys at various campuses and regions. The Indian Army, Navy and IAF will soon release Agnipath Yojana recruitment notification and we will list all required details here on this page.

It is important to note that the Agnipath model envisages the recruitment of personnel below officer rank (PBOR) in the Army, Air Force, and Navy where the youth will be provided with an opportunity to serve in the regular cadre of the Armed Forces. For Agniveer eligibility criteria, please refer to upcoming recruitment notification which will list all details including Agnipath eligibility criteria, age limit, Agniveer salary, physical standards, education and other requirements.

 

The Agnipath Recruitment Scheme 2022 has been announced by the Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today. According to this scheme, the defence ministry has decided to add more than 40,000+ soldiers in all three defence forces including Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. “Agnipath” is a great initiative by the government where eligible Indian youth would be granted an opportunity to get inducted and serve in the regular cadre of the Armed Forces. The recruitment will largely be on a short-term contractual basis.

Agnipath Recruitment

The entry for Agnipth scheme will be for a period of 4-years initially which is set to train youth for new technologies and also improve their health levels. This scheme will increase employment opportunities with new skills in different sectors. The Agnipath model envisages the recruitment of personnel below officer rank (PBOR) in the Army, Air Force, and Navy for four years, including six months of training.

 

Agnipath Recruitment Qualifications

1. Agniveer (General Duty)
Educational Qualification:
 Passed in class 10th examination with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.

2. Agniveer (Technical)/ Agniveer (Technical) (Aviation & Ammunition Examiner)
Educational Qualification:
 Passed in class 12th examination in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject.

3. Agniveer Clerk/ Store Keeper (Technical)
Educational Qualification:
 Passed in class 12th examination in any stream with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. English and Maths/ Accounts/ Book Keeping in Class XII is mandatory.

4. Agniveer Tradesmen 10th Pass
Educational Qualification: 
Passed in class 10th examination with minimum 33% marks in each subject.

5. Agniveer Tradesmen 8th Pass
Educational Qualification:
 Passed in class 8th examination with minimum 33% marks in each subject.

Age Limit: 
Candidates age should not be less than 17 years 6 months and not more than 23 years.

Age Relaxation: 
The one-time upper age limit has been increased from 21 years to 23 years for the recruitment year 2022-23. 
Age Limit: Candidates age limit may be 17.5-23 years plus age relaxation. Final age may be different when official notification is released.

Angnipath Selection Process

The selection process for Agnipath recruitment will be made on the basis of eligibility criteria and training program.

There will be no entrance exam for Agnipath recruitment scheme.


Pay Scale of Agnipath Recruitment


Individuals enrolled under Agnipath Scheme will be paid an Agniveer package of Rs. 30,000/- per month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, Risk and Hardship, Dress and Travel allowances will be paid.

On completion of the engagement period of four years, Agniveers will be eligible to receive ‘Seva Nidhi’ package, which shall comprise their contribution (into the Agniveer Corpus Fund) and matching contribution from the Government and interest on the accumulated amount.
