The Gauhati High Court (GHC) at Guwahati has released a notification for the recruitment 91
posts of Stenographer Grade-II & III, LDA and Copyists in
the district courts of Hojai, Charaideo and South Salmara vacancies.

1. Stenographer
Grade-II

Eligibility:
- (i) The candidate must be a graduate from a UGC recognized University as on the date of advertisement.
- (ii) Should possess a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography/Shorthand from ITI/Polytechnic/any other institute. Candidates who are pursuing Stenography/Shorthand may also apply. However, they must submit pass/completion certificate/diploma to the High Court at the time of document verification, unless otherwise decided by the High Court.
- (iii) Must have adequate knowledge of the official language (Assamese) of the State of Assam.
2. Stenographer

Eligibility Criteria:
- (i) Candidate who has passed H.S. examination from any recognized Board/Council/ University as on the date of advertisement.
- (ii) Should possess a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography/Shorthand from ITI/Polytechnic/any other institute. Candidates who are pursuing Stenography/Shorthand may also apply. However, they must submit pass/completion certificate/diploma to the High Court at the time of document verification, unless otherwise decided by the High Court.

Eligibility Criteria:
- (i) A candidate must be a Graduate in any stream from a UGC recognized University as on the date of advertisement.
- (ii) He/She must possess a certificate of Computer knowledge of minimum 3 (three) months duration.
- (iii) The candidate should have knowledge of the Official Language of the State of Assam (Assamese).
- (iv) The candidate must possess Employment Exchange Registration number for the state of Assam.
Age limit of District Court Recruitment
Category wise age limits for the posts, as on the last date of receipt of applications, is as under:-
- Unreserved: 18 to 40 years
- OBC/MOBC: 18 to 43 years
- SC/ST: 18 to 45 years
- PWD: 18 to 50 years
Application Fee of District Court Recruitment
Candidates
under PWD (Person with disability) category need not to pay any fee. The
details of application fee to paid by the candidates are indicated below:-
- For SC/ST: Rs.150/-
- For all others: Rs.300/-
