Irrigation Department, Nagaon has invited online application
for the recruitment of 29 Grade IV
vacancy of Peon/ Chowkidar and Khalashi in different offices under
Irrigation Department of Nagaon District.

- Peon/ Chowkidar: 21 [UR: 7, OBC/ MOBC: 4, SC: 1, STP: 3, PWD:
6]
- Khalashi: 8 [UR: 3, OBC/ MOBC: 2, SC: 1, EWS: 2]
Salary: Rs 12000 - Rs 52000, GP: Rs 3900/-
Employment Exchange Registration No.: The candidates must have
registered their name in the Employment Exchange and registration No. and date
must be mentioned in their application.
Age: Age of the
Candidates shall not be less than 18 years or more than 40 years as on
01.01.2021. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC, ST(P) &
ST(H) candidates & 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates as per prevailing Govt.
rule.
Educational Qualification: Class
VIII passed. Candidates having passed beyond Higher Secondary (10+2)
examination need not apply.
Candidates, whose applications are accepted as per eligibility criteria
will be required to appear in an objective type written examination. The
written examination will be of 100 marks for 02.00 hours duration. The
selection will be strictly on merit basis.
The syllabus of written examination:
- 1. General Knowledge : 50 marks.
- 2. General English : 25 marks
- 3. Language skill in Assamese : 25 marks

- Candidates will be required to upload scanned & self certified copies of all testimonials such as educational qualification certificate, age proof certificate, caste certificate, valid Employment Exchange and registration card, good quality photograph etc. The candidates already in service must apply through proper channel and upload scanned copy of NOC of the concerned department.
