Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Lakhimpur has released a notification for the recruitment of 06 posts of Lower Division Assistant (Gr-III), Bench Assistant (Gr-III), Typist (Gr-III) and Peon (Gr-IV)

1. Lower Division Assistant (LDA) – Grade-III

Educational Qualification:
(a) Graduate in any streams from a recognized University or a degree equivalent thereto duly recognized by the Government.
(b) The candidate must possess a minimum 6 (six) months Diploma/Certificate in Computer Proficiency from a recognized Institute.
Pay Band: Rs.14000-60500/- Grade Pay Rs.6200/-
2. Bench Assistant – Grade-III

Educational Qualification:
(a) Graduate in any streams from a recognized University or a degree equivalent thereto duly recognized by the Government.
(b) The candidate must possess a minimum 6 (six) months Diploma/Certificate in Computer Proficiency from a recognized Institute.
Pay Band: Rs.12000-37500/- Grade Pay Rs.3900/-
3. Typist – Grade-III

Educational Qualification:
(a) Graduate in any streams from a recognized University or a degree equivalent thereto duly recognized by the Government.
(b) The candidate must possess a minimum 6 (six) months Diploma/Certificate in Computer Proficiency from a recognized Institute.
Pay Band: Rs.12000-37500/- Grade Pay Rs.3900/-
4. Peon
No. of Post: 01 (Unreserved)
Educational Qualification: Class VIII passed or equivalent.
Pay Band: Rs.12000-37500/- Grade Pay Rs.3900/-
Age limit
- Candidates must not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years of age on 1st January, 2021. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST candidate up to 45 years and for OBC/MOBC candidate is up to 43 years.
Selection Procedure DC Office Lakhimpur Jobs 2021
Grade-III
- Phase-I: Candidates, whose applications are accepted as per eligible criteria will be required to appear in an objective type written examination. The written examination will consist of Section-I and Section-II of 150 and 100 marks respectively in a single test paper. The duration of examination is 3 hours.
Section-I:
- General English: 75 marks
- General Knowledge: 50 marks
- Quantitative Aptitude: 25 marks
Section-II
- Knowledge of Computer (Theory): 50 marks
- Language Skill in Assamese/English: 50 marks
Phase-II: Candidates will be short listed on the basis of the marks obtained in the written examination as per category wise post. The shortlisted candidates shall have to appear in the Computer Proficiency Test (Practical) for 50 marks. The shortlisted candidates shall have to submit their Original testimonials before appearing in the Computer Proficiency Test (Practical) for verification.
Phase-III: The final list shall be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in both the Written Test and Computer Proficiency Test (Practical). The selection will be strictly on merit basis.
Grade-IV
Candidates, whose applications are accepted as per eligible criteria will be required to appear in an objective type written examination for the post of Peon. The written examination will consist of Paper-1 of 100 marks respectively. The duration of written examination is 2 hours.
Syllabus of the Written Examination for Peon:-
- (1) General Knowledge: 50 marks
- (2) General English: 25 marks
- (3) Language skill in Assamese: 25 marks

- The applications must be submitted online through the niyukti.assam.gov.in (for Grade-III) and for applying Grade-IV post the application must be submitted. No other forms of application will be entertained.
- Candidates will be required to upload scanned and self certified copies of all testimonials such as Educational Qualification Certificates, Computer Diploma/Certificate, Age Proof Certificates, Caste Certificate, Valid Employment Exchange card, good quality of photograph. The candidate already in service must apply through proper channel and submit NOC of the concerned department.
