Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission (SSA), Assam has invited application for the recruitment of 1346 Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) (Social Science) and Upper Primary (Maths & Science) Assistant Teacher vacancy in Lower Primary and Upper Primary School on contractual basis under the Axom Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission.  Interested and eligible candidates may apply online here. 

Only the Writ Petitioners involved in the concerned Writ Petitions in compliance of the Hon’ble Gauhati High Court’s order dated. 19/07/2021 passed in WA No. 69/2021, order dated. 03/02/2021 passed in WA No. 24/2021 and order dated. 12/02/2021 passed in I.A.(Civil)/258/2021 can apply for these vacancy.

The applicants (Writ Petitioners) must mention the number of the Writ Petition and the Sl.No. of his/her name in the respective Writ Petition in the relevant fields while submitting online application and the selection will be done in compliance of the final order and directions of the Hon’ble Gauhati High Court in WA No. 69/2021.

Eligibility Criteria of SSA Assam Teacher Recruitment

Age Limit: Minimum age is 18 years for all candidates and maximum age is 40 years for unreserved category, 43 years for OBC/MOBC and 45 years for SC/ST(P)/ST(H) and 50 years for Parsons with Disability (PwD) as on 1st January'2020 as per Government Office Memorandum vide No.ABP.6/2016/51, dated 02.09.2020. This relaxation shall be applicable only ta those candidates who have attained the necessary educational or other qualifications prior to crossing of their existing upper age limit of 40 years.

Educational Qualification:

 

Assistant Teacher (LP):

At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes
Or-

At least 45% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations,2002.

At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

-Or-
Al least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education)

-Or-
Graduation from UGC recognized University with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes

-Or-
Graduation or Post Graduation* with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with LP- TET and Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University **

*The appointee who is appointed on the basis of qualification of Bachelor of Education(B.Ed.) shall mandatorily undergo a Six-month bridge course in Elementary Education recognized by the National council for Teacher Education(NCTE) within two years of the appointment.
